Will the importance of a B.Ed. decline with the introduction of an integrated program?

The value of B.ed will further increase with an integrated program because youngsters can plan to become teachers after completing class 12th.

Currently, the 2 year B.ed program requires one to graduate first before doing a B.Ed

The four years integrated program will be a B.Sc.B.Ed or B.A.B.Ed. after 10+2.

Youngsters planning to become teachers can decide early & take admission just as people do a B.Tech or Pharma after class 12th.

We can judge the importance of the program from the huge response to B.Ed. admission process. For the integrated program, there could be a B.Ed. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) after class 12th on the lines of the JEE mains for B.Tech.

Students will seek this program as a 4 year degree course gives enough time for an internship.

We will have more teachers by choice rather than chance. Currently, people after graduating who are undecided about their career pursue B.ed to become teachers.

There are excellent prospects in government & private sector, so an integrated program will attract talent.

With rising salaries, the teaching profession is becoming very popular.

Every year, authorities advertise vacancies for teachers. Some of these provide perks like campus accommodation & free education for wards.

Over the years of my career, I have visited many colleges. But one institution worth mentioning is -

Best B.Ed. college in Meerut | Top B.Ed. college in UP

With the New Education Policy highlighting on real learning, the teacher needs to create an environment of learning by doing. Taking note VGI Meerut creates teachers who bring about real learning through critical thinking, problem solving & decision making.

The new era is of technology. Countries spending major chunk of their GDP on education will make rapid progress in all areas. The quality of teachers produced will decide the fate of the country’s growth & economy.

Take the case of Japan, the island nation has one of the best education systems in the world. Japanese students excel in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) owing to excellent teachers.

Acknowledging this VGI Meerut has created the best infrastructure of Wi-Fi enabled classrooms, AV aids, overhead projectors, smart boards & smart class that enable effective presentation & enrich the teaching-learning process making us the best B Ed colleges in Meerut.
