Guinea pigs are known to be not aggressive and submissive furry pets. However, they can be skittery in the beginning and once they get comfortable with people, they love being pet, scratched, and even being purred especially when they are relaxed and happy. Another way of their expressions is chirping, chattering, whining, chutting, rumbling, wheeking, squealing, and others. Since teddy guinea pigs have their language and function better when they have a companion to spend their time with and talk to, it’s best that you housed them with another guinea pig. It is important to note that unneutered 2 males guinea pigs being housed together have the possibility of fighting each other. The best option for pairing would be 2 females or a spayed female and a male.
Most of the time, teddy guinea pigs just play, eat, and sleep. They love munching on toys, being pet, running, and feeding on green vegetables and hays. If you want them to be tamed, social interaction is more important than having an enormous space for them to play.
