Different types of wind towers are used for efficient production of wind energy. Wind towers such as tubular steel towers, concrete towers, lattice towers, and hybrid towers are used for large wind turbines, while for smaller ones, guyed pole towers are required. These towers are used in various onshore and offshore wind power generation applications. Between the two, the requirement for wind towers is predicted to rise rapidly in offshore applications in the future years.

This will be because of the surging offshore wind capacity and the increasing number of offshore wind power projects in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Atlantic Ocean. Across the globe, the demand for offshore wind towers was the highest in Europe during the last few years, as per the observations of the market research company, P&S Intelligence. This was mainly because of the huge number of offshore wind projects in the region.

Hence, it can be said with full confidence that the demand for wind towers will surge sharply across the world in the coming years, mainly because of the growing popularity of wind energy, on account of the rising environmental degradation due to the large-scale usage of fossil fuels for power generation.
