Sankri village is the base camp for the trek. To reach Sankri, one must travel nearly 220km from Dehradun. There are good roads and you can also take local taxis or buses from Dehradun. There is a good chance that the trek will begin from there in the morning. At 9,100 feet, the first stop is Juda ka Talab. This is a 5 hour trek. You can stop for the day, then climb up to the summit of Kedarkantha package the next morning.
