Every All India Service Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam for Indian Forest Services (IFS - Forest) falls under this examination conducted once in a year. the Indian Forest services also called IFoS further in this article. Their responsibility is to protect and preserve the forests and their wildlife within the country. Their purpose is to maintain the ecological balance and living standards of the country. Syllabus:
This exam consist of two papers
General Studies Paper-I and CSAT paper-||, both the papers are of two-hour duration.
Paper 1 : Most topics are current affairs, history of India and Indian National Movements, world geography, Polity, Constitution, economics, biodiversity, sustainable development, ecology, and climate change.
Paper 2 : topics are comprehension, interpersonal and communication skills, logical reasoning, decision making, analytical ability, and problem-solving, topics of class 10th level include numeracy and data interpretation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be Indian, native of Bhutan, native of Nepal can apply.
- Candidates must have graduation in science or engineering.
- Applicants must be above 21 years of age.
- No restriction for number of attempts
