Macros

What are macros? isn't it critical to know what you're counting? The term "macro" refers to a macronutrient. What exactly is a macronutrient? Protein, carbs, and fats are the three types of nutrients you consume the most and which give you the majority of your energy. When you count your macros, you're keeping track of how many grimes of protein, carbs, or fat you're consuming.

Why do people keep track of macros?

Keeping track of your macros can assist you in making sensible, nutritious meal choices (or planning to make them). It's akin to tracking calories or points, but it goes a step farther in terms of ideology.

That means calories aren't important?

No, I'm afraid not. Calories DO make a difference. Simply put, weight loss occurs when you burn more calories than you take in. Macro counting enables you to comprehend where those calories originate and how they affect your body. It also demonstrates that not all calories are created equal.

A lot of work?

Macro counting is beneficial because it isn't a one-size-fits-all strategy. Because you're consuming actual things without denying your body, it's usually referred to as "flexible dieting." which means you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits within your macros. When it comes to counting macros, there are no "cheat" foods; you simply have to rearrange some macros to make it fit.

Counting macros can assist you in the following ways:

  • Get rid of stubborn fat
  • Keep your lean muscle mass.
  • Maintain your body's satisfaction.
