The client’s brief was to have a home with darker colours and have no white. They wanted us to use colours like green, yellow and blue into their home. This itself was a challenge for the design team as most of our designs would have white as a major base palette. The style chosen was a neo classical fusion of modernism with few classical hints like moulded wall panels. The colours were distributed in a way that they all got intertwined and yet looked harmonious. The living areas and guest room were kept using bottle green and rust with beige and grey as neutral colours to balance the palette. The daughter’s room was kept using yellow ochre while the son’s room was kept deep blue. The master bed was kept muted by using brown and beige. To create an opulent and luxurious feel the use of gold metal strips and screens adorned most elements and areas through the house. A beautiful deck with an outdoor jacuzzi became the soul of the house. A big break away from the regular design trends was a challenge well delivered and thoroughly appreciated by the clients.
