The LEC has announced a bunch of changes coming to its official LEC Awards, which are handed out at the end of each Split. The league is reverting back to having a panel of experts vote for the All-Pro team. A new awards is being introduced as well: the Kia Finals MVP.

During the 2021 season, the LEC stepped away from the panel of experts to determine which five players would be granted the honor of appearing on the All-Pro team as best in their role during the regular Splits. Instead, the vote was made public. This led to widespread criticism as it was subject to bias from the fans—the more fans a team or player had, the likelier it was that they'd receive many votes.

The LEC commented on the changes, saying: "We have since listened to fan feedback on this 토토사이트 matter and have decided to revert it back to an expert voted award, with a roundtable of LoL experts, pundits, and professionals deciding on a worthy winner. Other expert awards will also remain, highlighting the top Rookie of the Season and Coaching Team of the Season."

In past years, "experts, pundits, and professionals" referred to on-camera talent, select people involved in the LEC production, media outlets, and coaches/players from each participating team (they weren't allowed to vote on their teammates).

Since the votes for All-Pro team, Rookie of the Split, Coaching Team of the Season, and Split MVP all are collected at the end of the double round robin stage, before the playoffs start, the LEC is introducing the Kia Finals MVP. With the extra award, also voted on by experts, the LEC wants to make a clear distinguishment between the Regular Split MVP and the player who rises to the occasion in the grand finale of the Split.
