Your car may have such an old color that you are tired of it. Or, perhaps, your car's color has chipped off the edges so you'd rather take it all off than leave it as it is. Try to take your car to a professional and have them decolorize your car. More often than not, they will ask you to pay more money than you expected.

In fact, they can range from around $50 to a whooping $100. Most notably, they claim that removing car tint will be a difficult task, considering that they will also ensure that your car windows are not scratched. However, by simply knowing what kind of material to use and how to do it, you might as well save a lot of money on other non-trivial things.

The process is easy. You'll need a single-edged razor, a clean rag, and an all-purpose spray cleaner. You can also try using another solvent that will work well for removing any kind of adhesive but is gentle on your windows and car paint. When you have all of these, start the process by taking a corner of the window tint film with a razor blade. Remember that the color of the car is not something that is painted on your windows. This is a specially designed thin film that is applied to your windows.

Once you have successfully grasped one of the corners of the film, pull the film away. When the film is out, spray the cleaner on the glass. Then, place the film back on the window and leave it there for about 15 to 20 minutes. After that, remove the film again. Spray more cleaner on the glass and use a razor to scrape off any remaining film and adhesive. If so, clean the glass using a cloth.

On the other hand, if you think that this isn't your type of job and you just feel like you might damage your windows, you can check with a local maintenance shop that offers services like removing window tint. However, keep in mind that you will have to spend quite a bit of money for a simple task like removing color film.
