Thailand's Crown Jewels are the Similan Islands.

Similan Diving Information

The Similan Islands are regarded as one of the world's top ten dive destinations. This isn't about a single dive site or wreck... it's the 50+ named dive sites, the amazing diversity of marine life, and the wide range of diving styles for divers.

As the main pier and the closest point of land, Khao Lak is the departure point for day trips, nighttime tours, and Similan liveaboards. The Surin Islands, Richelieu Rock, and even some fantastic wrecks are all easily accessible by longtail from Khao Lak.

On the Similans' protected East coast, vast reefs of pristine corals provide excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities. Manta Rays, Whale Sharks, Sharks, Napoleon Wrasse, and other amazing marine life can be found at the top and bottom of the islands, in which these different styles of sites meet.

The Similan Islands are available to divers of all levels, despite the presence of currents. The visitor can be assured of an idyllic experience by selecting the right dive centre. The options are made simple by the knowledgeable staff and detailed understanding of the area. Deep sites, with their rough seas and large fish, are clear favourites for experienced divers. The teasingly sloping reefs tend to have negligible currents and incredible biodiversity, making them ideal for both experienced and novice divers.

Liveaboards, Khao Lak Diving day trips, and snorkelling boats can all take you to the islands. It's crucial to remember that the islands are closed from May 1 to November 1 every year. It is both dangerous and illegal to visit these places during this closure due to the heavy monsoons.

You can reach this amazing Similan island by speed boat .
