Being the writer of several books at the martial arts and combating, I am always looking for books of great first-rate to feature to my library. If I even have a e book in my library, it's without a doubt worth proudly owning. One such book is Jay Gluck's, "Zen Combat."
This is a completely well written e-book and one that I do not consider is in print anymore. The reproduction I actually have I ended up locating in an old e book shop several years ago. This e-book offers you a few outstanding records on the history of basically the Japanese martial arts and their philosophy.
1. The Bull Story; Masutatsu "Mas" Oyama and Kyokushin-kai Karate:

There is also a very good section on belt rank and the importance of it.

2. Why the Zen of Zen Combat; Martial Arts Philosophy:
This section is mostly dedicated to the early history of the martial arts and their philosophy, and the way Zen compliments them. This is really a excellent even though short segment on the history of martial arts.
Three. Kendo; The Way of the Sword:
In this segment, the author talks in short about Miyamoto Musashi who became Japan's greatest samurai swordsman. In addition to Musashi, he also talks about the artwork of Kendo and the samurai sword, and the simple strategies that are used while yielding a samurai sword. These strategies include; the right grip, en-garde, touché, and the I-ai or "short draw."
The rest of this precise phase is devoted to diverse weapons used by the samurai along with; the naginata, bo personnel, spears, and so on.
