Emerging Remdesivir Lawsuits: Two Californian Women Wage Their War

https://www.lezdotechmed.com/blog/medical-malpractice/remdesivir-lawsuits/

As you well aware, Remdesivir was a significant medication used in coronavirus vaccinations. While many patients received the medication voluntarily, other others were forced to take it without their knowledge or consent. The vaccine's harmful side effects caused a large number of elderly people who received it to pass away. Recently, two ladies from California filed Remdesivir lawsuits against the hospitals and doctors who forced their spouses to have the vaccination. After experiencing kidney and other organ failure following the administration of the medicine, both of their spouses passed away.

When is Remdesivir recommended for people with COVID-19? Remdesivir injection is used to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19 infection), which is brought on by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in both hospitalized and non-hospitalized adults, as well as children 28 days of age and older who weigh at least 6.6 pounds. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to treat coronavirus toward the end of October 2020.

The clinical trials conducted prior to approval have led scientists to doubt the product's efficacy. Remdesivir did not have any form of effect on reducing the infection, according to one study. The recovery duration from the sickness had only been moderately shortened, according to another study. The World Health Organization's dramatic discovery, however, was that Remdesivir proved unable to save lives or speed up the recovery from disease.

It's unfortunate to obtain a harmful medicine in an emergency. However, it is wrong to be forced to take the medicine. Such occurrences were common during the epidemic at certain hospitals around the U.S. Before the injection, they weren't prompted for their informed permission. Even those who requested informed consent were denied it. It is quite regrettable that so many of the patients have to take it. Many claim that Gilead forced hospitals to administer their medications to the patients.

The two women made every effort to assemble information and backing from specialists like Drs. Bryan Ardis, Peter McCollough, Angie Farella, and Janci Lindsay, a toxicologist. In the claims, which were brought in state court against Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center, Redlands Community Hospital, and a number of its doctors, it is alleged that the defendants' doctors prescribed Remdesivir to the plaintiffs without their knowledge or agreement. According to the allegations, doctors reportedly neglected to inform patients that the medication can be fatal, is harmful to the kidneys, and is inefficient at treating COVID-19.

Two women made every effort to assemble information and backing from specialists like Drs. Bryan Ardis, Peter McCollough, Angie Farella, and Janci Lindsay, a toxicologist to prove the ineffectiveness of the drug and adverse side effects. In such a situation, two Californian women came forward to sue wrongful death lawsuits against the physicians.

In the beginning, Gilead promoted the medication, known as Veklury in the US, to be used in hospitals to treat seriously ill COVID-19 patients. There may currently be medical malpractice lawsuits resulting from the occurrences of Remdesivir-related deaths across the U.S. Gilead will, however, be in hot water if, during the course of the litigation, the pieces of evidence link to Remdesivir's toxicity as the cause of the fatality.
