Hillary Clinton is gaining support in the tech industry, said her campaign chair John Podesta, The Hill reports.Podesta, former President Bill Clinton s chief of staff, speaking at a Recode conference this week, said that support is building as Clinton and the industry leaders get to know each other:Some have argued that there isn t the same enthusiasm for Clinton in the tech ranks as there was when Barack Obama ran in 2008 and 2012.From donors who work in tech, Clinton has raised $2.7 million, reports The New York Times, citing Crowdpac.

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has raised $6 million from donors who work in tech.Clinton is not a technical person, but she understands tech policy, Podesta said.Earlier this week, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich canceled a fundraiser for Donald Trump, who is the presumptive Republican candidate for office, as we wrote.Photo: Hillary Clinton.
