Like an exasperated parent muttering something about horses and water, Google has decided to take Android Wear by the scruff of the neck and create a Nexus-branded line of smartwatches.
That s according to an extremely confident report from Android Police anyway.
Apparently concerned about the recent dearth of new Android Wear-compatible hardware -- not to mention that the existing stuff is all painfully mediocre too -- the company s said to be working on a pair of round-faced smartwatches unofficially codenamed Angelfish and Swordfish.
Angelfish is rumoured to be the larger of the two devices, with a 14mm-thick body and 43.5mm diameter, three buttons and a subdued but sporty look .
It will also feature GPS, LTE and a heart-rate monitor, and arrive in a matte grey finish that may or may not be called Titanium , which admittedly does sound a bit more appealing than matte grey.
Swordfish, meanwhile, is expected to resemble the Pebble Time Round minus the massive bezel , with a 10.6mm-thick frame and a diameter of 42mm.
