Ducab are top cable suppliers in the UAE, offering a wide range of high-quality cables for power transmission, distribution, and industrial applications.
We are fully committed to protecting and preserving the natural environment and have the strictest policies in place at every stage of our value chain, from the extraction of raw materials, right the way through to final production and distribution. Over 25 years ago, we were the first cable manufacturing company to have our Environmental Management System certified by BASEC to ISO:14001, and we were also recognized for our efforts and presented with the GCC Award for Environmental Excellence. As part of our commitment to the environment, we have planted more than 500 trees at our Jebel Ali site. The trees are watered using domestic waste water, which is treated and recycled at our own sewage treatment plant. As a responsible corporate entity, we have adopted the highest standards of social commitment into the heart of our business, and we have a strong role to play in the UAE’s industrial and social development. Our focus is on developing a sustainable business that cares for its employees, customers, shareholders, suppliers, the natural environment, and our society. Since 1979, Ducab has consistently given back to the communities in which we operate through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. To amplify our efforts, ten years ago the company formed a CSR team to create a strategic framework and a more targeted approach. We assess ourselves according to the Dubai Chamber CSR label framework, which is specifically tailored to the Gulf region and based on international best practices. Our CSR strategy focuses on four key areas: workplace, marketplace, community, and environment. Since 2012, we have been a recipient of the Dubai Chamber CSR label award every year, affirming our strong commitment to the community. As the world becomes more aware of long-term climate risks and opportunities, countries and businesses across the globe are adapting to a transformation of the energy sector. This switch from non-renewable energy sources like oil, natural gas, and coal to renewable energy is made possible by technological advancements and a societal push toward sustainability. This energy transition also aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through decarbonization. Today, renewable energy sources have become a powerful and cost-effective source of electricity. As costs continue to fall and wind and solar become mainstream, the renewable energy sector will only grow.
