Samsung bets on Tizen smartphones again with a new launch in India

Samsung Electronics continues to place its bets on the Tizen operating system for smartphones, with the launch Tuesday in India of a 4G enabled smartphone priced at 4,590 rupees US$68 .

The previous Tizen phones were good, but people were not used to the operating system, he added.

The new 4-inch WVGA screen phone has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card, and a dual SIM.

It is powered by a 1500mAh battery.

The phone has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera.

The Z2 also has features developed specifically for Indian consumers.
