As well as announcing new Charge 2 and Flex 2 wristbands, Fitbit is also pushing out an update for its Blaze smartwatch.

The £159 hybrid device will now integrate third-party notifications from third-party applications like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

This remedies one of the flaws we initially identified with the device.

Fitbit is also releasing five new watch faces for the device, which means owners of the smartwatch-cum-fitness-tracker now have access to nine.

Finally, the Blaze is getting a feature reminding them to move; specifically to hit a step goal of 250 per hour.

Those who ve purchased the Blaze will receive the update next week.
