If you want to get your hands on one of OnePlus's cheap not-quite-Android smartphones, you have to buy it directly from the company's online storefront.

O2 has just announced that it will be the first UK network to start offering the device to customers.

That's means those of you who have some aversion to buying unlocked SIM free phones can instead opt to spread the price of the phone over many months.

OnePlus's rather excellent budget handset will be available on O2's Refresh tariff, meaning you're not locked into a full 24 month contract before being able to upgrade.

All you have to do is pay off the cost of the phone, and you're free to swap it for a better one.

The OnePlus 3 will be available on the network from the 29th September this Thursday , with prices starting at £28 a month for the phone, 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500MB of data.
