How has this wacky, unprecedented election season played out on social media?

Some new developments give us another chance to count the ways.• Hillary Clinton campaign chief John Podesta became the latest famous Twitter hacking victim.

Wednesday night, many people noticed the following tweet before it was deleted: I ve switched teams.

The Clinton campaign confirmed that the account was compromised, and that it has informed Twitter.Neither side is new to all this, of course: Podesta and the Clinton campaign are dealing with the fallout from WikiLeaks release of Podesta s hacked emails.

And the Twitter accounts of many high-profile people, including several tech CEOs and executives, have been hacked recently — probably a result of other online breaches elsewhere.

Security blogger Graham Cluley speculates that the hacking of Podesta s Twitter account is related to the WikiLeaks hack.
