Fujifilm is stepping up to the plate by adding the much-missed tethering feature to the X-T2.

On Monday, Fujifilm announced a firmware upgrade will allow the X-T2 to connect to a computer via USB using a Fujifilm plug-in for Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

The firmware is expected to be released on November 8, while the software add-on will release in November for Mac OS X and December for Windows.

The software updated is expected to bring tethered shooting to the Fujifilm X-T2.

Just like earlier versions of the plug-in, the Tether Shooting Plug-In Pro is still compatible with the Fujifilm X-T1.

According to Fujifilm, the firmware update with the plug-in will allow users to not only display images on the monitor but to save the images directly to the computer.
