Arias system allows the human assistants to see what the blind person has in their environment.

U.s. Aira has developed a system that takes advantage of body-worn cameras and the human assistants in order to simplify everyday life for the visually impaired.

the New Technology has previously reported glasögonkameran My Eye, which can help those with impaired vision by filming the text that the user is pointing at and then read up on it.

Engineering company, Aira has developed a solution which, according to the company should be able to function as a kind of visual interpreter for the blind.

Through the use of body-worn cameras – either fixed on a pair of glasses or a mobile – gathers Airas system in photos of what is in the visually surroundings.

the video stream, along with the coordinates from Google Maps and other information, is then sent on to a human operator, in real-time to guide the blind person when he or she visits a grocery store, need help with reading from a menu or to find a taxi, for example.
