Fluance F150: When Portability Isn’t a Concern

Fluance is making a habit out of flouting Bluetooth speaker norms.

That’s why most Bluetooth speakers are relatively small, with plastic cases, compact drivers and somewhat sterile sound.

The ultimate example of this freedom can be seen in the Fi70, the company’s 80-pound, three foot tall Bluetooth speaker that I reviewed last year.

It’s also a Canadian company, another oddity in an industry dominated by Chinese entries along with a handful of well-known American companies.

This Bluetooth speaker incorporates some of the same design principles as its larger sibling --including a rounded MDF wood cabinet, touch controls and high performance amp drivers-- but it's a more compact speaker.
