The manifesto proposes a radical rethink of how we deal with cybersecurity threats
A new report and manifesto has been launched by BAE Systems Applied Intelligence department which calls for a collaborative taskforce to tackle cybercrime.
“Our instinctive response each time we’re threatened is to contain it and hope that no one ever finds out,” Julian Cracknell, Managing Director, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence stated in the report.
“We will advocate a move from passive, isolated cyber defence to institutionalised, active collaboration and learning that spans organisations, industries and countries.”
The proposed collaborative initiative has been named The Intelligence Network.
In an initial report BAE gathered a range of voices, from technology businesses to cybersecurity analysts, to propose an alternative to the current security climate.
