Sports and music fans have been warned by Trading Standards teams to beware of fake tickets for sale this summer.

Major events, including Euro 2016 and music festivals, are expected to be targeted by fraudsters.

He said trading standards teams in England and Wales were cracking down on online ticket fraud, and called on social media sites to "do more to help prevent people being conned paying for tickets on their sites".

Without these details there is no way to determine if the tickets exist or not

Always check with the event organiser for official ticket distribution lists and avoid buying from unauthorised sources, particularly social networks

If you are engaging with unofficial sellers, research them thoroughly.

Check the seller or company online for unfavourable reviews and beware of false positive reviews

Always pay for tickets by credit card and never pay by direct transfer - the card issuer is jointly liable for a failure for goods or services to be provided as long as the price of a single ticket is over £100

Only make purchases from sites encrypted for payment - look for the padlock in the address bar

But some users were alarmed that Google was trying to solve a hardware issue with a software fix.

Amazon loves talking about its drone delivery system despite the fact that it s nowhere near complete.

When the company made its first drone delivery earlier this month, the aircraft carried a bag of popcorn and Fire TV box a measly half-mile.

Nevertheless, Amazon is exploring an even more ambitious idea: flying warehouses.

A patent awarded to Amazon in April—but only recently discovered by BBC News—shows a concept that would suspend huge flying warehouse in the sky and equip it with a fleet of drones that would deliver goods from the flying warehouse to the ground.

These so-called aerial fulfillment centers would be used in places where lots of people have suddenly gathered, like a sports event or music festival, to help deliver things like food and souvenirs.

The patent also describes how shuttles, or smaller airships, could be used to transport workers to and from the airborne warehouses.

Drivers caught using a phone within two years of passing their test will have their licence revoked under new rules in England, Scotland and Wales.

Penalities for using a phone at the wheel double from 1 March to six points and a £200 fine.

In 2015 - the latest year for which figures are available - 22 people were killed and 99 seriously injured in accidents where a driver was using their phone.

From Wednesday, police forces will carry out a seven-day crackdown, with extra patrols and an "increased focus" on people using their phones while driving.

Adverts aimed at discouraging phone use have been developed by the government's road safety group Think!

and the AA Charitable Trust, and will be shown at cinemas and on billboards, radio and social media.

This uses a part of the brain normally used to watch the road, the University of Sussex study shows.

"- during phone conversations could mean a driver concentrates on an area four times smaller than normal, because their brain is imagining the room where they left the file, instead of checking for hazards in front of them.

Other studies have suggested that phone conversations in a car are more off-putting than listening to the radio or talking to a passenger, Dr Hole added.

A passenger chatting in a car is less distracting, the researchers argue, because both stop talking when the driver needs to concentrate.

The law currently says drivers can use hands-free phones, sat navs and two-way radios, but if the police think the driver is distracted and not in control of the vehicle, they could get penalised.

The BBC is beefing up its commercial activities in the face of continued budget cuts with a merger of BBC Worldwide and BBC Studios to form a single organisation, cementing an existing partnership that sees both arms collaborate closely on content – most recently with Blue Planet II.

Referred to as BBC Studios the combined entity will integrate programme production and sales and distribution, offering efficiencies of scale and streamlined management.

Driving the merger is a growing realisation within the BBC that it must do more to capitalise on its assets as a cultural export, maximising the intellectual property value of its back catalogue.

It will also bring the BBC into line with commercial rivals at home and abroad that already integrate programme production in a similar manner.

BBC director-general Tony Hall said: “In a fast-changing TV industry, securing the future success of the BBC is vital.

“Creating a single BBC Studios will bring the BBC in line with the industry, be simpler and more efficient.
