It would appear that Telltale is working on a Guardians of the Galaxy game.

We ve known that Telltale is developing a new game based on a Marvel property since last year, but now a leak may have named Guardians of the Galaxy as that mystery property.

The game is said to be revealed at The Game Awards on December 1, so we may not have longer to wait before finding out if this is true.

The leak centers around a document allegedly from SAG-AFTRA, a voice acting union that is currently participating in the voice actors strike.

The document lists projects that have been affected by this strike, and one of them is listed as Guardians of the Galaxy – The Video Game a/k/a Blue Harvest, by O Farrell Enterprises LLC.

What tips this game off as being one made by Telltale is the fact that The Walking Dead Season 3 is listed right underneath it, again attributed to O Farrell Enterprises.

Telltale Games appears to be working on a new game centred on Marvel's sci-fi superheroes, the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Marvel announced a partnership with the developer, perhaps best known for episodic adventure games such as The Walking Dead and Minecraft: Story Mode, in April 2015, with a game set for release in 2017.

At the time, absolutely no details were revealed as to what the project would be.

As Marvel Studios now has three movies released each calendar year, plus its entire comic book catalogue, it really could have been anything.

However, the existence of the Guardians of the Galaxy title, which has still not been officially confirmed, came from an unlikely source - the ongoing strike action between video game voice actors and development studios.

Actors joined to the SAG-AFTRA union have been striking since October, demanding better terms on the basis that industry-standard contracts are decades out of date.

And, as fans of the movie franchise know, these spoofs are of the affectionate variety, created out of reverence for the films rather than to mock them – most of the time, anyway.

You could spend days trawling through the endless parade of spoof videos on YouTube, ranging from Robot Chicken to Family Guy to Community.

If there was a prize for completeness of a parody, then without doubt the award would go to the Blue Harvest episode of Family Guy.

In the episode the electricity goes out, so Peter retells his family the story of A New Hope, with the show's characters playing the leading roles – Chris is Luke, Peter is Han, Brian is Chewbacca – and Stewie is Vader, of course.

Various episodes of The Simpsons

The Simpsons first hit our screens four years after the release of Return of the Jedi, and by the time The Phantom Menace was released we were reaching the point where the show's decline began Simpsons nerds tend to agree it was around Season 12 .
