Today, Microsoft tried to connect with college-age kids, and it did not go over particularly well.

An after-party invite sent out to interns in San Francisco on Tuesday tried its best to be cool, like fresh straight from the fridge daddy-o cool.

The end result was predictable.

My roommate received this email from a Microsoft recruiter today.

— Patrick Burtchaell @pburtchaell July 6, 2016

For those of you who haven't yet been completely infantilized by the modern-day Neverland that is Silicon Valley, and thus may be confused by the above email's apparent use of English, fear not.

Making embarrassing slip-ups when it comes to general knowledge is all part of being human, and the good thing is that most of us are lucky enough that when we speak without thinking, there are no cameras around to catch us.

Unfortunately for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate Jess Impiazzi, this was not the case during.

In Wednesday’s (17 January) highlights show, Jess was seen talking with Amanda Barrie about living through World War II, the model was heard double-checking that “World War III” hadn’t happened yet.

Reflecting on her childhood during the war, Amanda told her housemate: “Up where we lived on the moors, my grandpa once took me up there to watch Manchester burning during the Blitz.

You took it for granted… you started to realise the anxiety around you.”

Jess then asked: “And there hasn’t been a World War III?”

"Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn took to Twitter Friday to answer two key fan questions following the release of the new "Avengers: Infinity War" trailer.

With fan speculation reaching a fever pitch in anticipation of the April 2 "Infinity Wars" debut, Gunn made it clear when the next Guardians film would take place.

Most important of all, Gunn teased that some Guardians might not make it out of the next duo of "Avengers" films.

After Friday morning's trailer, and the persistent hints from Marvel that the MCU's character lineup would be trimmed in the next few years, it wouldn't be a surprise to see members of the Guardians end in some heroic sacrifice.

Unless Captain America beats them to it...

SpaceX successfully launched its upgraded 'Block 5' Falcon 9 rocket Friday afternoon, carrying Bangladesh’s first satellite into orbit.

The company had aborted its first attempt to launch the rocket on Thursday.

Falcon 9 took off from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., at 4:15 p.m.

Flight controllers watched as the rocket took off without a hitch, successfully completing each stage of the mission.

The satellite launch, done on behalf the Bangladesh government, will allow internet access to all corners of the country.

The successful takeoff comes one day after the company was forced to abort its first launch attempt.

SpaceX got very close to launching the final "Block 5" version of its Falcon 9 rocket for the first time Thursday, but the mission is now delayed until Friday afternoon at the earliest.

Just about a minute before scheduled liftoff at 5:47 p.m.

We're still waiting to find out the cause, but such an error is a safeguard and not that unusual.

The rocket was set to carry the Bangabandhu satellite-1, the first satellite for Bangladesh, into orbit from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Block 5 represents the final suite of upgrades to its workhorse launch system that CEO Elon Musk says is designed to be flown up to 100 times.

Before the launch, Musk said in a call with reporters that he was "stressed" and that orbital rockets are hard enough, but building one that can fly 100 times is "crazy hard."

SpaceX is set to launch the first Bangladeshi satellite into orbit on an upgraded version of its Falcon 9 rocket Thursday.

Bangabandhu Satellite-1 is scheduled to blast off from launch pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

The launch window opens at 4:12 p.m. EDT and closes at 6:21 p.m. EDT.

The satellite will be transferred into a geostationary orbit approximately 33 minutes after launch, according to SpaceX.

If SpaceX is unable to launch the satellite on Thursday, a backup window is scheduled for Friday.

The mission is also the first to use Falcon 9 Block 5, which SpaceX describes as the “final substantial upgrade” to the rocket.

Disney fired director James Gunn from the next "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie because of old offensive tweets of his that recently resurfaced.

"The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him," Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said in a statement.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise writer-director James Gunn has been fired by Disney from the third movie following old offensive tweets of his resurfacing this week.

"The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him," Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said in a statement given to Business Insider.

Gunn was writing the script to the third "Guardians" movie, which was to begin shooting in the fall with a 2020 release date.

Gunn's offensive tweets, which he wrote in 2010 and 2011, were brought back to light by conservative personalities who were opposed to Gunn's tweets against President Trump and the Republican Party.

Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 was originally scheduled to arrive to the Xbox One and PC last November, just in time for the release of the more powerful Xbox One X console.

It ended up being pushed past that date into 2018, but the delays don’t appear to be over — the game has now reportedly been moved to 2019.

According to Kotaku, ongoing development troubles led Microsoft to bump the game out of its 2018 release window into some point in 2019.

It’s a move that was likely made to ensure the game lives up to quality expectations, as several Microsoft exclusives have failed to deliver the goods over the last few years.

“We want to make sure to deliver the right game, with the right quality, at the right time,” Microsoft Studios Publishing GM Shannon Loftis told Polygon back in 2017.

Crackdown 3 is one of the most technologically ambitious games Microsoft has ever released.

The Bad Boys are back in town — or at least they’re officially on their way.

For years now, Sony has had a third installment in the action film series in the works, and it’s finally looking like it will actually happen.

The studio recently announced that Bad Boys 3 — also known as Bad Boys for Life — will hit theaters in early 2020, as THR reported.

The action flick’s release date comes just a day after ThatHashtagShow.com shared new plot details.

The online publication reports that the film will bring us back into the lives of Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) after their partnership has gone south.

Burnett will apparently be working as a private eye, and Lowery will have a new “young and cocky” partner toward whom he doesn’t feel that much loyalty.

Street Fighter 5's next DLC character Ibuki will be launched in the last week of June

Capcom has finally opened up about the delayed release of Street Fighter 5's third DLC character Ibuki, which was set to release in May, issuing an apology over its lack of communication.

Now into June, Ibuki has still not be released, sparking outrage among fans over Capcom's failure to inform players and provide an update about a new possible release date.

"We apologize to our players all over the globe for not communicating this change to our release schedule sooner.

In May, CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto admitted that "some aspects of Street Fighter 5 needed more polish, such as the lack of content and server issues at launch".

The blog post also mentions that the development team is currently looking into reports of input lag issues on the game's PS4 version and "will let you know as soon as they find out more".

Capcom also adds that its latest solution has reduced rage quitting by about 60% and plans to continue rolling out measures to help curb the issue in the future as well.

Dean Parisot will direct the movie.

“We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again,” Keanu and Alex Reeves said in a statement.

“Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we’ve got a dream team!”

Alex then addressed the news on Twitter:

The publication adds that MGM owns the rights to the film which will be released under Orion Pictures in the US.

While AMD’s enticing Ryzen 7 processors battle Intel’s Extreme Edition chips for a fraction of the price, the AM4 motherboard platform is still in its infancy, as early adopters can attest.

Ryzen motherboard BIOSes rely on the AMD Generic Encapsulated Software Architecture, and AMD’s Rob Hallock says AMD’s pushing an AGESA update to its motherboard partners soon.

Its tweaks are expected to appear in AM4 motherboard BIOS updates in early April.

Here’s what you’ll find in the update, verbatim from Hallock’s post:

“We have reduced DRAM latency by approximately 6ns.

We resolved a condition where an unusual FMA3 code sequence could cause a system hang.

Currently, Reeves is working on a long-delayed second sequel to one of his first big hits, the beloved sci-fi/comedy Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, while also cooking up a third John Wick film, among multiple other projects.

I liked this character who was in trouble, who is kind of trying to hold things together and keep moving forward and then at the same time meets someone that he falls in love with and kind of shatters everything.

I find that it helps with the kind of immersion into the world, you know?

You know, it’s a different way to collaborate and a way to hopefully get the filmmaker, whoever’s directing it, and the whole production, you know, just to support it.

You know, I think every project has its pleasures and … I’m just grateful of the opportunity to be able to do different kinds of films because you can tell different kinds of stories in different kinds of ways.

I love pop songs, but sometimes you want some Coltrane.
