Have you always wanted to start your own racing team, but only if you could run Acura NSX GT3s?

That's a very specific dream, but if it's yours, Acura will now help make it happen.

Acura announced Thursday that it has put the NSX GT3 racecar on sale around the world.

For the (not so) low, low price of 465,000 euros ($543,933), you can pick up one of these carbon-fiber-bodied bad boys for your own racing team.

Just head over to Acura Racing's website and open up the checkbook.

The NSX GT3 isn't limited to a single series.

The first-generation NSX was a favorite of tuners, but the question has become whether Acura has left any room for the aftermarket with this one?

NSX tuning specialist ScienceofSpeed thinks so.

Since its founding in 2001, the Arizona-based company has been rebuilding and upgrading Acura’s supercar, and now it’s taking a crack at the new version.

Dubbed the “Dream Project” by its creators, ScienceofSpeed’s modified second-generation NSX debuts at the 2017 SEMA show this month.

It wouldn’t be a tuner build without increased horsepower, although the NSX’s hybrid powertrain was left mostly stock.

The 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 breathes a bit easier thanks to high-performance downpipes and a new stainless steel exhaust system (which also shaves 16 pounds), and a new intercooler system that lowers the temperature of the air getting sucked into the two turbos.

Rumors that Honda was developing a little sibling to the NSX supercar (which is sold as an Acura in the United States and a Honda everywhere else) have swirled for the past couple of years.

It turns out this “baby NSX” is real, but it won’t arrive in showrooms anytime soon.

That’s because this sleek midengine sports car is the latest in a series of Vision Gran Turismo concepts.

So while you won’t be able to drive the car in real life, you will be able to drive it in the game.

Styling seems to be influenced by both the NSX and the tiny, Japanese-market S660 sports car.

Overall, the less-elaborate design of Sports Vision Gran Turismo makes the concept look a bit sleeker than the real-life NSX.

We drive the all-new Honda NSX, a hybrid £143,000 supercar with three electric motors.

The new Honda NSX is a two-seat supercar with a V6 petrol engine and three electric motors driving all four wheels.

Coming 27 years after the Ayrton Senna-developed original gave Ferrari and the supercar establishment a bloody nose, the new car is as much a nod to its grandfather as it is a leap into the future.

The NSX is proof that the hybrid supercar concept works and not just a glimpse at the future, but a meaningful step towards it.

It is also a £144,000 supercar, but one which has a dashboard covered in plastic instead of metal and carbon, a lacklustre infotainment system and a frustrating set of pre-programmed driving settings which don't let you mix-and-match, to pick a louder exhaust and more direct steering with softer suspension, for example.

Being gentle with the throttle sees the car rely solely on its three electric motors, giving the surreal experience of piloting a low-slung supercar through a town in complete silence and with the rev counter resting at zero.

The vehicle would become an instant classic, one that did sports cars in an approachable, user-friendly way while still maintaining excellent performance and a playful attitude.

26 years later, the highly anticipated successor has rolled off the assembly line.

Rick Hendrick earned the keys to VIN 001 after placing a $1.2-million winning bid at a Barrett-Jackson auction in January, the proceeds of which went to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and a non-profit organization called Camp Southern Ground.

Hendrick s new ride features plenty of custom-ordered accoutrements, including interwoven wheels, Alcantara interior trim, and a variety of carbon fiber upgrades on the engine cover, roof, rear spoiler, and brake rotors.

Taking delivery of this first new Acura supercar and knowing the proceeds will benefit two remarkable organizations for children makes this a very special moment for me and everyone on our team, said Hendrick.

Instead of the 3.0-liter, 270-horsepower V6 that powered the first-gen model, the 2017 version boasts a 573-horsepower hybrid system that includes a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 and three electric motors.

There's egg on face down VMware way: the buggy release of NSX we reported reported two weeks ago turns out to be so messy VMware's decided to erase it from history.

Virtzilla on Monday US time issued a Field Advisory in which it announced NSX for vSphere 6.2.3 release has been pulled from distribution.

If you're in the process of upgrading to 6.2.3, VMware urges you to stop and wait for a better version.

The company now says 6.2.3 has an issue that can affect both new NSX customers as well as customers upgrading from previous versions of NSX.

When VMware advised against upgrades, it said the problem was related to virtual machines going AWOL after vMotion and said no resolution was available.

The new advice adds mention of a problem with distributed firewall rules and a network connectivity problem, reported Monday.

Personally, I'll take any original NSX, but would be doubly excited if it was the Clarion Builds Acura NSX that's poised to cross the Barrett-Jackson auction block in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The drivetrain is from a salvage-title 2004 NSX, meaning it's got the bigger 3.2-liter V6 with a CT Engineering supercharger mounted on top for extra kick.

In addition to the engine, the six-speed manual sourced from the 2004 donor car jumps over to replace the original five-speed unit.

Better handling comes courtesy of a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension, upgraded CT antiroll bars, rear shock tower brace and Volk ZE40 wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

Fiberglass fenders are 2 inches wider than stock, while the carbon fiber hood and rear wing are styled after the NSX-R that was sold exclusively in Japan.

Completing the exterior is a Blu Caleum paint job.

The first 2017 NSX officially rolled off the production line in May, and although the car made its global debut last year, 2016 was the first time the public actually got behind the wheel.

2016 will also mark the NSX s North American racing debut, because later this month, two of the hybrid supercars will run the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Cascade, Colorado.

Pikes Peak is like no other race in the world and offers a unique opportunity to showcase the power and performance of our products, said Jon Ikeda, General Manager of the Acura Division.

We are excited for this year s Race to the Clouds to test the endurance and engineering of the Acura NSX and our advanced powertrain technologies — as well as an expression of our racing spirit.

In addition to the NSX models, Acura will show off a 4-Motor EV Concept in the Electric Modified Class.

The vehicle s powertrain is an evolution of the CR-Z-based electric prototype that ran last year, and it features independent torque allocation to all four wheels.

The company today announced another strong quarter: a $970 million charge related to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act tipped the company into a paper loss, but the numbers were otherwise pleasing.

Revenue for Q4 2018 was US$2.31 billion, up 14 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2016*.

VMware's discrete businesses also did well.

End user computing reported a 30 per cent growth for the quarter and the financial year, with CEO Pat Gelsinger telling investors VMware is beating competitors thanks to its combination of mobile device management, identity management and desktop services.

By way of comparison, upstart Pure Storage on Thursday reported US$383m for the quarter and was excited to say it cracked the $1bn annual sales barrier.

And Pure of course gets to sell hardware, a chore VMware palms off to partners.

Gran Turismo Sport has faced numerous setbacks that put the kibosh on the game's intended 2015 release, but Polyphony Digital’s highly anticipated racer finally arrives next week.

It will be slightly different to previous entries in the series.

To see how GT Sport differs from its predecessor, here’s everything you need to know about the new motorsport simulator:

Gran Turismo Sport launches on 18 October in the UK, and is exclusively for the PS4 and PS4 Pro.

It's not a direct successor to GT6

Unlike the traditional line of Gran Turismo games, which aims to provide the biggest and most diverse car list of its competitors, GT Sport is a spin-off title that is setting its sights on the world of esports.

The current BMW i8 is a clever piece of engineering and design, but its performance is nowhere near as dramatic as its looks.

What if BMW used the i8 as the basis for a hybrid supercar that could take on the likes of the McLaren 570s and Acura NSX?

BMW research and development boss Klaus Fröhlich mused about exactly that possibility in a recent interview with British magazine Autocar.

Autocar reasoned that BMW could instead divert resources to a more expensive, higher-performance model, an idea Fröhlich seemed to like.

“I think partial electrification will enable that.”

Fröhlich said that the i8’s lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis would make a good basis for a supercar.

There may not be as many cars in GT Sport as some would like, but three Porsche models at least slightly make up that.

Ahead of Gran Turismo Sport‘s October 17 launch, Polyphony Digital released the complete car list and a lengthy trailer showing off the vehicles.

Although the 163 vehicles featured is a far cry from the 700 available in the recently released Forza Motorsport 7, fans of Gran Turismo can rejoice because Porsche finally finds itself in the racing sim with three models including the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and the Porsche 919 Hybrid.

GT Sport cars will look more realistic than ever thanks to HDR support on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.

Racers can take each of the 163 cars for spins around 40 different layouts sprawled across 17 different courses.

It’s safe to expect more cars and tracks to be released as post-launch DLC, but Sony hasn’t revealed its plans beyond the October 17 launch for PS4.

Tajima-san's car, the 2016 Tajima Rimac E-Runner Concept One.

Between this and Frédéric Sausset at Le Mans, it's inspiring how motorsports is using technology to make itself more accessible, particularly because it's leading to real-world applications.

The fastest man all day was Romain Dumas in his Norma M20 RD Limited Spec-2016, doubly impressive since less than a week ago he won Le Mans with his Porsche teammates.

Compared to the massive factory effort that was Porsche's assault on Le Mans, Pikes Peak is a personal labor of love for Dumas.

Still, despite the sleep deprivation Dumas and some of his crew flew straight in from Le Mans earlier in the week , he seemed excited about racing the mountain.

Giti Tires will be on hand, and you can even win a trip to the Rose Bowl by taking your photo with a cutout of Tajima-san.

The performance claims Elon Musk uttered last week about the new Tesla Roadster are still being digested by the car community.

Musk didn't go deep into details during the surprise unveiling, but the torque, track and driving range numbers he did share are simply remarkable.

Take a look at how they stack up against two other electrified supercars in the Acura NSX and Porsche 918 Spyder to draw your own conclusion.

The new Tesla Roadster will feature a three electric motor drivetrain with one unit on the front axle and two driving the rear wheels, effectively making it all-wheel drive.

A 200-kWh battery pack powers the trio of motors.

It's also impossible to reverse-engineer a crank torque figure without knowing the reduction ratio in the transmission, which Tesla definitely has not published.
