Messing around with the iOS Simulator, developer Steve Troughton-Smith has stumbled upon a nifty one-handed keyboard mode hidden in the code of iOS that has apparently been there since at least iOS 8.

As the crafty coder explains, the secret feature can be activated by a simple edge-swipe.

What s particularly cool is that you can adjust the keyboard to fit either of your hands – all you have to do is pull up the feature from the side of your dominant hand.

The one-handed keyboard also has designated cut, copy and paste controls that will conveniently show up on the side of your dominant hand.

Today s fun hack been there since at least iOS 8 ; the iOS keyboard has an unused left/right one-handed mode.

I ve got plenty, thanks.

Not like this one, you don t. This is a one-button behemoth of smart home magic.

Despite its subtle shell, Logitech s Pop can control a whole host of smart devices throughout your home – from the living room lights to the bedroom TV.

Tap to dim the lights and turn on the TV?

It s as simple as sticking the Pop on your wall, connecting it with the mobile app and adding your devices.

You can then programme the switch with simple outputs, like turning the lights on and off, or create Recipes for several devices.

Questions about the Cheapskate blog?

It's called Instaread, and it gives you the key insights and takeaways from over 500 books -- with more added every month.

Normally it runs $4.99 per month, or $49.99 annually, but for a limited time you can get a one-year Instaread subscription for $24.99.

Then consider the lifetime subscription for $49.99.

Before I go any further, I should point out that the app is currently available for iOS only.

The Instaread home page has a sign-up to get notified when an Android version is available, but there's no indication when that will be.

Free trial users who participate in sales demos tend to buy Appcues more often than those who do not.

We ve measured this over time, and because of this fact, we ve tried a lot of different ways to get free trial users into demos.

Before I go further, a disclosure for my fellow data nerds...

Idea to test from this article

**Objective:** Get more free trial users to get on the phone with your sales team to increase free-to-paid conversions.

**About:** Implement in-product slideouts to offer time with a sales rep. Slideouts are non-invasive so a user can simply ignore them or X out.

Whichever quality you might prefer, the industry has certainly prioritized larger displays.

When the original Samsung Galaxy Note was unveiled in 2011, it was considered almost comically huge.

The only current flagships that are truly usable with one-hand are pretty much the Google Pixel (arguably) and the iPhone 7 – and that phone doesn’t even get the Plus model’s superior dual-camera array.

The S7 was also small relative to its peers, but then the S8 came around and made the screen a fair bit taller.

It’s a feature that has been available in skinned Android devices for several years, but as the average screen size pushes towards 5.5-inches, it’s time it became a lot more common.

I can hardly reach the top of most phones without worrying I’ll drop them, and yet my daily driver is the LG V20 – a phone with a 5.7-inch screen.

Here s a sentence you might not have expected to read: a service built around crowdfunding is building in a one-to-one payments option in what might be one of the most increasingly crowded spaces in the U.S.

That s what Tilt, an app geared toward crowdfunding events like parties or travel plans, is hoping will make its service even more sticky and a one-stop destination for payments between peers — and build what CEO James Beshara says is a social network around payments.

Rather than gun directly for domestic markets which still account for about half of Tilt s activity , Tilt is trying to do is exploit a moment in time where PayPal and other US-based popular payments services — like Venmo — haven t hit international markets just yet.

The idea of a one-to-one payments product existing within Tilt was kicked around for a while, but never implemented, Beshara said.

But when it turned out that international users, like those in the United Kingdom, were basically bending the app in order to essentially enable one-to-one payments, it seemed like there was a potential to implement it as part of the app.

Nearly a quarter of all payments activity on Tilt in the United Kingdom was one-to-one payments, despite the app not being geared toward that, Beshara said.

A woman of mixed-race descent stands before a mirror, her yellow dress bloody, her arm a stub and her eyes wide in shock.

Sasha s family is missing, their belongings scattered around this universe – one that feels like death sprung to life.

But the game, available now for Sony s hand-held device the Vita, is also about loss and grief as much as it is about Sasha s one-armed ability to wield a sword.

It s a rite-of-passage story, and she just needs to mature, and the way she s showing her frustration and lack of power is by raging against the world and things that have happened, Quijano says of Sasha.

She feels like all of this is unfair, and she s just literally lashing out at these monsters that she encounters.

Severed, then, is a metaphor.

"But there's none in there either!

And that's a conversation you'll no longer have to endure from today because Amazon's super-simple one-click Dash ordering buttons are now available in the UK.

The service was launched in the US last year and lets Amazon Prime members order specific products with one press of a physical button.

For instance, you might have an Andrex button in the loo, an Ariel button on your washing machine and a Durex button inside your lucky pants.

The UK launch involves 40 Dash buttons, which include the three examples above plus such household essentials as Kleenex, Whiskas and, um, Play-Doh.

p Relative unknown Galax last month announced the world’s first single-slot GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card.

As impressive as it is to squeeze that much power into such a small footprint, the reality is that not everyone needs a video card with that level of processing power.

If you fall into the latter category but still require a single-slot discrete graphics card, perhaps Inno3D’s latest offering may be a better fit.

The company’s new GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (1-Slot Edition) offers the performance of a full-size 1050 Ti in a slim package.

The card packs 768 CUDA cores, a base clock of 1290MHz and a boost clock of 1,392MHz in addition to 4GB of GDDR5 clocked at 7Gbps using a 128-bit bus (168.2 GB/sec).

One of the few sacrifices you’ll make by going with this card is in the connectivity department.

Remember how Apple used to make a big deal about the iPhone being the only smartphone that you could easily operate with one hand?

But the company eventually launched iPhones that have displays bigger than the four-inch screen Apple used for years, and one-hand operation isn t as easy.

Apple created a new home button gesture called Reachability image above that s helps, but some people rarely use it.

The company now has an even better idea for fixing one-hand operation on the iPhone, which might be better than shrinking down the display, as Samsung does it on some of its flagships.

DON T MISS: A roundup of original iPhone reviews that got everything completely wrong

Detailed by TechFyt, the patent describes technology that would allow the iPhone to detect which hand is holding the phone.

Hey, I'm working with a medical clinic and we would like to give the doctors the ability to send emails to their patients (prior to consultation and follow up).

We'd like the emails to look fantastic (so not just text based), but for the Dr to be able to edit the contents prior to sending.

So no email will be the same.

I've looked at using Outlook, but it's not as easy as I presumed.

We have a Mailchimp account and am investigating Mandrill.

Their patient management software doesn't do anything like this.

Earlier this year, Google and Microsoft both released their own iPhone keyboards to make it easier to type with one hand.

Apple has apparently had its own one-handed keyboard, but has never activated it, according to developer Steve Troughton-Smith, who discovered it using Apple's iOS Simulator tool.

The days of referring to social media efforts as strict awareness marketing are long gone.

Between promotional posts, blatant CTAs and paid advertising, businesses use their social channels to drive leads and purchases every day.

The first-touch model focuses on the first channel, also known as the discovery channel.

For example, as I was browsing my Instagram, I came across an ad that pertained to comfortable shoes.

In that moment, I was convinced to consider these shoes.

I then researched them on the web and scrolled through their Twitter feed, but I didn’t buy them just yet.
