Holy heck, everyone, Apple just announced new iPhones, and for the first time in years, they actually look new and different.

Less surprising were upgrades to Apple TV and the Apple Watch.

Everybody knew a Tenth Anniversary iPhone was inevitable, but it was still a thrill to get our first glimpse at the slab of stainless steel and glass.

This facial recognition feature uses an array of sensors on the front of the device to map your face and unlock the phone, as soon as you look at it.

As mentioned above, the new iPhone X ditches Touch ID for Face ID, a fancy facial recognition system.

Along with the the proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, microphone, and front camera that have appeared on previous iPhone models, the iPhone X also includes an infrared camera, flood illuminator, and dot projector.

Spec-wise, the Pixels cameras look decent: 12-megapixel sensors, f/2.0 lenses, and handy modes for HDR stills and burst shooting.

The 4K video mode s gyroscope-based stabilization also looks great, and you get unlimited storage of your full-res shots and videos on Google Photos.

They go on sale September 9 for $649 and $769.

The storage gets a bump, so now the lowest-priced configuration will come with 32GB.

Also, new colors: Space gray is gone, but there are two types of black matte and glossy along with gold and rose gold.

In a move that s sure to cause great controversy, Apple has ditched the analog headphone jack.

It will be painful, but wireless is certainly the future.

Today is the first day of BlizzCon 2017 and, as it has done for every BlizzCon previously, Blizzard kicked off the show with its opening ceremony.

It’s during this ceremony that Blizzard talks about what’s coming up in its games, and this year it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime started the reveals by announcing that Starcraft II will soon be going free-to-play.

Players who have yet to purchase any StarCraft II campaigns will get Wings of Liberty for free, while those who already own Wings of Liberty will get its follow-up, Heart of the Swarm, for free instead.

While that means the meat and potatoes of StarCraft II will be free no matter what you own, you’ll still need to pay for any campaigns you don’t already own should you want to play through those.

Blizzard says it will be offering all existing single-player content in a bundle for $39.99, though the campaigns will be available separately for $14.99 each.
