Having never gone through a project like this before myself, I'm wondering if there are any links, guides, books or resources people would recommend?

Specifically: how do I strategize and plan the content of a whole website (with multiple pages) and how do I structure the content of each page.

The one thing I have is the purpose of the site: to generate brand awareness, educate and provide thought leadership.

It's B2B so it's not selling software, it's selling solutions to the pains hat strategic buyers experience.

As it stands I'm researching the way other websites do it, and trying to extrapolate from them, but a straight forward guide would be awesome.

Now, if you’re in the B2B space, then you know the importance of keeping the sales team happy with “hot” leads.

It’s critical to distinguish these two types of leads as different, because your sales and management team certainly does.

As a marketer, you know that giving someone something like a free e-book is going to have a much higher conversion rate than trying to get someone to schedule a demo.

But, you also know it’s really difficult to get someone to go from downloading an e-book to speaking with sales.

Thus, you stop pitching e-books and focus only on generating sales qualified leads.

And, eventually, these get so expensive to generate that your budget shrinks, trust is gone, and you marginalize the channel saying, “It’s really just not a good fit for us.”

That said, it'll be generous and time sensitive.

How could we go about reaching out and agreeing on terms?

I'm hoping they would post/ tweet/ email and recommend the service saying" Hey, check out u/enggie, they do these payments at zero fees for businesses!

So.. not content, not any other top of the funnel tactic, but straight recommendation-to-purchase at an agreed rev share for approved accounts.
