WPP’s MediaCom has named a chief operating officer for its U.S. arm.
The position has been vacant for more than seven years.
Adam Potashnick was promoted to COO, U.S. from his previous position as MediaCom USA’s chief growth officer.
In the new role, he will continue to lead business development, while adding additional responsibilities including business and financial operations for new clients, product development and specialty services divisions (content, social, sports and sponsorships) at the agency.
Potashnick will continue to report to MediaCom U.S. CEO Sasha Savic, while working closely with Nick Lawson, who recently was named global COO.
“Adam has done amazing things for MediaCom as our Chief Growth Officer—leading us to win an unparalleled level of new business,” Savic wrote in a statement.
