Last week I addressed the data involved in the content optimization process, and what to base content decisions on.

Many people skip straight to manually optimizing existing content because it’s the most obvious and usually the quickest to implement.

If you have the personnel, the steps can happen simultaneously to move things along more quickly.

Maybe you’d get more value out of a pattern like: “{Feature} {Color} {Product type} | {Store Name}.” Your keyword research will help you determine which patterns are the most valuable.

Once you have all of the pages listed, identify the page name, URL, and current keyword targets, if you know them.

Then assign one to three keywords to every page from the keyword research, noting their average searches per month from the keyword research.

Andrew Anderson wrote a great guest post for ConversionXL: "Here s something not many people talk about: no one at your organization really wants optimization to succeed – at least not in way that is most powerful and revenue impacting.

They will all talk about it, they will assist in practice, they will push you to do more and they will say all the right things.

But the second a result does not go there way, they will turn on you faster than it takes you to read this overly wordy introduction.

They won t do it maliciously, they won t even do it consciously in most cases, but turn they will."

This post explains the problem and how to combat it to maximize the outcomes of your optimization program and keep it above ground .

In DCO, a variety of ad components — such as main body backgrounds, main images, overlay text, and so on — are dynamically assembled when they are served, according to the particular needs of the impression.

While DCOs can assemble versions that are built on-the-fly, its sibling CMP offers a computer-aided tool so creative staff can pre-build lots of ads for specific segments.

The platform might employ machine learning, automated picture cropping, automatic size and design generation, and other computer-assists to help a person generate a large variety of completed ads.

Although both platforms allow for performance feedback to create a Darwinian selection of the fittest, where only the best performing ad offspring survive for later generations, the differences point to different goals, just as a restaurant meal and prepared food have different goals.

For that kind of remarketing, it s hard to imagine any other way to pull a product shot and specs from hundreds of products in that one retailer s catalog, immediately generating an ad to remind you of what you virtually walked away from.

No stats yet, though, about DCO-generated ads versus CMP-powered ones.

If you use and like the idea of testing a bunch of ad creatives with a combined pic, message, and headline, then you know that testing them with different audiences takes time.

The process of creation and optimization of ads combinations is usually called the ad creative optimization.

Dynamic creative optimization (DCO) allows the system choose a particular pic, message, and headline that is optimized for the individual viewing the ad.

Now, you can apply DCO to your Facebook, Instagram, and Audience Network Ads on the Aitarget (fb.aitarget.com) Facebook Marketing Partner Platform.

We’ve discussed the notion of cloud architecture optimization here in the past. Now it’s time to understand how it’s measured. You really have no way to prove your architecture isn’t optimized unless you do an audit, which includes a review of the solution’s approach and any attached costs.

In the past, the people who built and deployed cloud solutions were reluctant to have their choices questioned. These days, because we want the most value from the cloud solutions, many have changed their minds about questions and oversight—or more often, company leadership changed their minds for them. Many of the projects I take on these days focus on review and improvement audits rather than on build and migrate deployments.

Supply path optimization exercises can be long, involved processes with dizzying amounts of data, but they always promise to improve advertisers’ performance.  A recent series of studies — including this ‘State of Ad ROI’ report — have aimed at simplifying the SPO process to make it more actionable for ad buyers, and a recent experiment highlights […]

You implemented the four steps to ROI-positive marketing attribution and proved that the system works.

You got the team on board, clearly defined your objectives, isolated specific channels with tactical tests, then expanded into strategic cross-channel analysis.

Long-term marketing attribution success depends on an operational approach to dialing your media investments up and down.

At my company, Conversion Logic, we apply an “Optimization Framework” methodology to ensure discipline and repeatability.

Both approaches make it difficult to determine causality of changes and can be inefficient.

Our framework helps our clients be more deliberate in meeting their business objectives.

Next.js 10, the latest version of Vercel’s React-based web framework, adds features including user analytics, automatic image optimization, e-commerce capabilities, and internationalized routing.

Four-year-old Next.js offers capabilities such as hybrid static and server rendering, smart bundling, TypeScript support, and route pre-fetching. Next.js 10, unveiled October 27, features the following new capabilities:

  • Automatic image optimization, providing a replacement for slow legacy HTML and browser image stacks. Developers can automatically replace legacy HTML tags with a React-based image component that improves page responsiveness through progressive loading.
  • Internationalized routing and automatic language detection, giving teams paths for translation and eliminating DIY approaches by supporting language negotiation and memorization out-of-the-box while determining what content to serve according to user language preferences.
  • Next.js Analytics, providing continuous user insights to help developers understand where to focus to improve site performance. Continuous feedback helps developers understand how a site or application performs for users and improves Web Vitals scores.
  • Next.js Commerce, an all-in-one starter kit giving developers the performance, personalization, and an immersive modern user experience that the world’s largest sites deliver, Vercel said. The open source platform automates implementation of common e-commerce site components, with a data layer and reusable data primitives provided by Vercel partner BigCommerce.
  • CSS can be imported from inside of third-party React components.

Next.js supports newly introduced React 17, which has no breaking changes for Next.js. Some maintenance changes were required. The new JSX transform is automatically enabled with React 17.

In any example of programmatic ad buying, there will almost always be a layer between the direct advertiser and the publisher. After all, this is how advertisers achieve scale. Nevertheless, with so many ways to access publishers’ inventory, it behooves ad buyers to know that they are accessing them through the most efficient supply paths. […]

To produce reliable and scalable results, think beyond the content you write.

The goal of topic clusters is to demonstrate that your site comprehensively covers a subject – users can find the answer to any subject-related question on your site.

All the content about blenders, microwaves, food processors, etc., would link to the kitchen appliance pillar page.

A content audit forces you to take a long, hard look at existing content.

Thanks to Google’s Hummingbird algorithm, the search engine extracts semantic meaning from search queries.

Instead of providing results based purely on the query entered, the search engine accounts for past results for that query, links between content, the user’s personal search history, and more.
