Epic lets Fortnite players create their own Season 9 recap videos

In late May, Epic Games released a tool that enabled Fortnite players to see a recap of their Season 8 gameplay in a convenient, highly shareable video.

The company is back with an update to this tool, this time offering Fortnite players a video recap of their Season 9 gameplay highlights, including season stats and favorite destinations.

For Season 9, Epic is allowing Fortnite players to create their own video recaps or view one automatically created by Epic itself.

The latter option is the fastest and easiest way, but the ‘Create My Own’ opportunity enables players to leave out the parts of their Season 9 gameplay that they’re not interested in.

Players can choose six stats to include in their recap video.

Examples include ‘Favorite Outfit,’ ‘Favorite Weapon,’ ‘Beach Assault,’ ‘Horde Rush,’ ‘Favorite Emote,’ ‘Victory Royales,’ ‘Neo Titled Landings,’ and more.

Fortnite Champion Series will have $10 million prize pool

Epic Games has said the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) will have more than $10 million up for grabs in prize money.

The FNCS also comes with more ways to get to the season finals, Epic Games said Friday.

It'll kick off on Aug. 17, with the finals on Sep. 20 to 22.

Fortnite, one of the most popular free-to-play games on consoles ever, launched in 2018 and became a cultural phenomenon, raking in $3 billion for developer Epic Games across all platforms in 2018.

Last month, a 16-year-old won $3 million playing in the Fornite World Cup, with 2 million viewers watching.

You can get to the season 10 finals via the standard three-round Trios event each weekend for the next five weeks, with the top teams in each server region advancing.

Fortnite Brute changes coming in next update, Epic says

Fortnite season 10 had one big change when it started on Aug. 1, and that was the inclusion of a mech called Brute.

Since then players expressed their frustration over the powerful mech on social media, and developer Epic Games is going to make some changes to mech's overpowered rocket launcher.

Epic will alter the Brute in the next update according to a developer blog post Friday.

The robot's rocket launcher will soon have a visible targeting laser and audio cues to let players know when they're in the mech's sights.

It's not a big change but the sudden barrage of rockets from a non-visible Brute was one of the issues players had with the new addition to the game.

Epic says they also fixed mobility bugs causing an exploit with the Brute's boost that some players use.

Fortnite season 10, week 2 challenges: Spray different gas stations

Epic Games is continuing the new way of implementing the weekly challenges in season 10 with the release of the Spray and Pray missions in week two.

No longer are challenges random, instead each week this season there will be missions that are tied together by a common theme.

In the case of the Fortnite week two challenges, the theme this week is spraying graffiti all around the map.

This guide will focus on where to find the Gas Station locations on the map and tips for completing that mission.

Instead of weekly challenges, there are sets of Limited Timed Mission Objectives.

Each set has a particular theme and is unlocked after a certain amount of time or when previous missions are completed.

These objectives are available only to season 10 Battle Pass owners.

Spray a Fountain, a Junkyard Crane and a Vending Machine

The fountain is located in Mega Mall while the Junkyard Crane, as its name alludes to, is in Junk Junction.

Vending Machines, however, are all over the place in random spots.
