Documentaries often dive deep into important parts of our history, from World War II battles to famous crimes.

But one upcoming documentary feature will examine a far lighter part of American history: the cultural impact of TV's Baywatch.

Yes, Baywatch, the 1989-2001 TV drama about beautiful and hunky lifeguards in red swimsuits, is getting the documentary treatment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

THR says filmmakers Matthew Felker and Brian Corso are making Baywatch: The Documentary, and will interview some of the show's biggest stars for the film, including David Hasselhoff and Nicole Eggert.

"I was coming of age when Baywatch was at its peak, so the Baywatch history is, in a lot of ways, also my history," Felker told the magazine, adding that he actually became an open-water lifeguard because of the show.

But wasn't the show best known for hot bods in tight red suits?

One of the cars that was pivotal for Bentley in its early days was the 1939 Bentley Corniche.

The car was a departure from the traditional Bentley cars of the ’20s and ’30s and was the first to introduce streamlining in an attempt to reach faster speeds and improve the performance of the car.

The styling of this historic car influenced the styling of all post-war Bentley models from the R Type Continental to the current Continental GT.

The 1939 Bentley Corniche was introduced in 1939 and was meant to be a higher-performance version of the then-new MkV saloon set to launch in 1939.

During its testing, the car was involved in a serious traffic accident in France in August of 1939.

It was sent to Bentley for repairs, and the original car was lost in France in 1939 at the outbreak of WWII.

While I’ve been playing a lot of triple-A titles lately (finally finished Marvel’s Spider-Man just before this), I decided to focus for the sake of fun on this niche game within the niche of World War II strategy games.

It was the Soviet Union’s huge summer offensive in Belarus to take back big chunks of Eastern Europe from the Nazis, as the Allied invasion of Normandy was gathering steam in 1944.

It was a massive set of tank, infantry, and air battles that left the German Wehrmacht in full retreat on the Eastern Front.

That leaves me with a rich list of things to do like multiplayer, co-op, deck building, and single-player tactical campaign battles in the Army General campaigns to play.

You can zoom in on a single anti-tank gun battery, with the shell casings falling out of the gun as it fires, or you can zoom out to see small icons representing the units as they move around the map.

Each of the maps was painstakingly researched using real-life military maps and aerial photography set across the breadth of the Eastern Front.

Bentley only built a single example of the 1939 Corniche.

Sadly, the car's body was wiped off the map during a World War II bombing raid in France.

Bentley announced on Thursday that it has recreated the 1939 Corniche from the ground up.

With the help of Bentley's Mulliner bespoke department, the company assembled the 1939 Corniche using nothing but original technical drawings and human skill.

However, in 2008, the project ran out of money.

Bentley itself came to the rescue with investment funds, at which point the team began to recreate the car's ash wood frame and aluminum body panels.
