That Android Wear smartwatch sat on your wrist is about to do a whole lot more than show your emails and skip music tracks.

Gmail looks red, and Hangouts looks green, so there's no confusion.

They'll show up the next time you bring your watch up to your eyeline, popping into view and then disappearing so you can still tell the time without having to swipe anything away.

The watch reads your message and suggests possible replies for you to tap on, using the same smarts Google pulled out to help AlphaGo win its AI vs human challenge a few months ago.

That means no more heading to your phone to install new apps, too - you'll be able to do it straight from the watch.

You'll have to wait before you'll be able to get your hands on version 2.0, though.

Waverly Labs

Not understanding another language is one of the single greatest barriers we have in communicating to the global community.

While translation apps have clearly come a long way they still feel like barriers to a fluid conversation.

Well now a company claims to have built an earpiece that removes that barrier by translating another language in real-time.

Waverly Labs

It s called the Pilot and it s being developed by Waverly Labs, a small startup with a very specific aim in mind.

Sadly Waverly Labs isn t sharing much more than that at the moment, while some tech demos certainly seem to show that the product works it s in the real-world where it will be judged.

If anyone has had to experience the awkwardness of trying to use a translation app to talk to someone then the potential relief that Pilot could bring is enormous.

The iPhone s camera app shutter button isn t always in the most convenient place—particularly if you re trying to operate it one-handed.

You can use the volume button as an alternative, but there s another way to take a picture you might not be aware of.

This is a trick that s been around for years, but you might not have stumbled across yet file alongside this one and this one .

The two volume buttons on your iPhone headphones can also act as shutter buttons, which means you can snap pictures with one hand while holding your phone aloft with another, and it works with video too.

There are all kinds of situations when it might come in handy and save you from having to awkwardly juggle your phone around to reach the software shutter button.

Might be a idea to take advantage of this while you can...

Reuters - United Parcel Service Inc, the world's largest package delivery company, said on Wednesday it will expand the 3D printing services provided through its UPS Stores to create an on-demand manufacturing network starting this summer.

Atlanta-based UPS and SAP SE also announced a partnership in which Europe's largest software company will provide supply chain solutions to help manufacturers get products to market more quickly and at a lower cost.

"Speed is critical to us and we see tremendous value" in extending SAP's capabilities further down the supply chain via UPS, said John Dulchinos, vice president for strategic capabilities at contract manufacturer Jabil Circuit Inc, in a telephone interview with Reuters.

UPS already offers 3D printing services using ABSplus, an industrial grade thermoplastic, at more than 60 UPS Stores around the United States.

Under the new system, customers will be able to upload digital designs to First Radius, a company specializing in 3D printing in which UPS holds a minority stake.

IDC Research Inc analyst Robert Parker said the network will bring UPS only modest benefits at first because 3D printers have limited capabilities at present and few printable materials available.
