My case was a mystery. At the age of 26, I was diagnosed with Pre-mature Ovarian Failure (POF) when I still had regular period. However, none of doctors in the U.S. or in India were willing to work with my case of using my own eggs. At that time, I was suggested to go with donor eggs. It felt like throwing a bucket of water on my face.
A couple of years later, we heard about Life IVF Center from one of the Yelp reviewers who was also diagnosed with POF, and knew it specializes in Natural Cycle and Minimal Stimulation IVF which would probably serve the best for my case . We signed up for its free monthly infertility seminar right away. Attending the seminar gave us some hope and meeting Dr. Yelian in person increased our hope in a great deal.
When I just started my journey of IVF in June, 2013, my FSH level was way up to over 61. We tried 2 cycles of natural cycle IVF but had no success as Dr. Yelian was trying to study how my body was working and which day of triggering would be more effective.
We continued with 4 more cycles and were eventually able to retrieve one egg each cycle. Some embryos were able to reach to Day 4 or 5. We did embryo transfer twice. Unfortunately one resulted in chemical pregnancy, and the other didn’t take.
We were very frustrated. At one point, we started losing hope. However Dr. Yelian said that he had confidence to help us get pregnant as long as I still had period. So, we decided to continue the treatment as long as Dr. Yelian thought that there was hope.
It turned out Dr. Yelian’s instinct was right. On the 7th cycle, we made a 5BB embryo, and it resulted in a successful pregnancy after the transfer! In March, 2015, I gave a live birth to a healthy boy with my own egg!
My son now is almost 2 years old and I’m back for my second one. I am writing this testimonial just right after my egg retrieval procedure.

In 2013, Vanessa, 38, and her husband from the East Coast came to Life IVF Center after 6 years of trying to have a baby with the diagnosis of unexplained infertility.
They felt like they were out of options as they had 3 failed IUIs (Intrauterine Insemination) and 3 failed IVF treatments.Their last failed IVF treatment was at one of the top IVF clinics in the US, as it has one of the highest success rates, where she was given 600 units of Gonadotropin injection daily for 11 days.
They collected many eggs, but none of them made it to the blastocyst stage (Day 5 embryo).So when they arrived at Life IVF Center they felt like they had no chance of getting pregnant on their own without the help of donor eggs.
After an initial consultation and evaluation with our physician, Dr. Frank D. Yelian, he believed that Minimal Stimulation IVF or Natural Cycle IVF will be the best option for them.Her first cycle was a Minimal Stimulation IVF cycle, where she was given only Clomid to help stimulate follicle growth and 2 mature eggs were retrieved.
The total dosage of Follistim injection in this cycle was 450 units, which was less than a ONE-day dose she was given during her previous Conventional IVF cycle.This retrieval resulted in 5 eggs and 2 blastocysts (5BB and 6BB).
This retrieval produced one egg that ended up being a 4AA blastocyst.
