History of Belgorod State University
The Belgorod State University (BelSU) was founded as one of the first Teacher’s Training Institute by the Russian Ministry of Public Education on September 26, 1876.
Due to World War II, the institute shut down from the year 1941 to 1944.
The BelSU was finally declared as the Belgorod State National Research University in 2011.
