Satu dari 19 pasien positif virus corona atau Covid-19 di Indonesia tertular wabah saat berada di kapal pesiar Diamond Princess.
Pasien ini sempat menjalani isolasi bersama 68 kru Diamond Princess lainnya di KRI Soeharso saat dipulangkan dari Jepang.Uji laboratorium pertama kali pada pasien ke-6 dengan menggunakan polymerase chain reaction (PCR), hasilnya menunjukkan negatif virus corona.
Tim kesehatan kemudian memeriksa ulang dengan menggunakan metode genome sequencing dan menunjukkan pasien positif Covid-19.
