  • Having a bad server name causes the bad server error 400. If you are searching something on the web browser and suddenly it appears bad server. This simply means that the host name is invalid. The reason for this is that the website’s owner has finished his agreement with web hosting service and any information about their sites from the DNS (Domain Name System) has not been updated. If you find this issue then follow the below technique:
  1. Open the prompt command.
  2. Type ipconfig/flushdns.
  3. Now restart your web browser.
  • The error 400 also occurs if the header line is too long. This happens because there is a flow of request and response between the web browser and the web server. If there is no limit for header line then error 400 will definitely occur. If this is the root of your problem, just delete bad cookies for the website.
  • If your request contains some invalid characters, error 400 will be there. So make sure you use valid characters only.
  • If you are signed in to multiple Google account for Gmail using Chrome, then there are chances that you will face this error.

  6. Now click on cookies.
  7. Now search for GMAIL_IMP and click on delete.
  8. Close the developer tool window.
  9. Now refresh your page which is giving you the Gmail error 400. Most probably the error might have gone.
