Kalapatthar Trekking 18 Days

Kalapathar Trek is a combination of Mt Everest Base Camp and popular viewpoint Kalapathar. As most of the trekkers have a dream to visit Mt. Everest at list once in a lifetime, as a result all the tea house and trekking trail have crowded during high season. But Everest Base Camp Kalapathar Trekking gives you access to the Sagarmatha national park through the alternative trail to make trip uniqueness. The destination is the same as the EBC Trek package but we guide you to make different experience through the wilderness side trip and less frequented tail. Whereas possible we take an alternative route while coming down to Lukla rather than retrace the same trail.

Kalapathar Trek trail goes through the heart of the Himalaya following river bank, Sherpa villages, amazing mountain scenery, rare flora and fauna. Unique Sherpa culture, century-old Buddhist monastery, Chorten, Manewall, hard of Yaks add charm while walk beneath the gigantic Himalaya. Often you need to cross a suspension bridge above the raging river, it makes you bit fear and a lot of joy. During EBC Kalapathar Trekking the trail goes inside the Sagarmatha National Park, where you might have chance sight of wild animals such as; Himalayan Goat (Thar/Jharal), Musk Dear, colorful birds “Daphe” – Nepal National Birds and many other species. Khumbu is inhabitance of Snow leopard and land of mysterious creature Yeti. Mount Everest Base Camp, most famous viewpoint Kalapathar/ Kalapatar, Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Icefall, Glacier Lakes, breathtaking mountain scenery including Mt. Everest are landmarks of the Everest Kalapathar Trek.

Everest Base Camp Kalapathar Trekking begins at Lukla after the short scenic flight from the capital city Kathmandu. Then walk through the Sherpa Villages; Chaurikharka, Ghat, Phakding, Manjo often following Dhudha Koshi River bank and pine and Rhododendron forest. It is suggested to taking rest at Namche Bazaar to acclimatize the body properly before getting in high elevation. On this day you may visit Sagarmatha National Park information center, Sherpa Museum, Monastery, Everest View Hotel, Syangbuche, Khumjung Village for Yeti Skull. Continue reading to Mt Everest Base Camp through the Tengboche, Pangbuche, Dingboche village. To make your trip unique, we suggested visiting one of the best viewpoint Nangkar Tshang Peak (5,616m), just above the Dingboche. From where you have a 360-degree view of many mountains including three world highest mountains Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,749m) and Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Imja Valley view. Finally, get in Mt Everest Base Camp an elevation of 5,360 meters through Lobuche. Gorekshep is the last teahouse of this trekking route. The view from Kalapathar is unbelievable, as this is one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region, many mountains can see from here, especially Mt. Everest view from the nearest distance. Except cold, sunrise and sunset view is best from Kalapathar.

Collecting lifetime experience in the Himalaya, you will come down the same trail till Pangbuche and taking an alternative trail to the Porche village to avoid crowd. Most of the trekkers using the main trekking trail but we Nepal Mother House try to make your trip difference than others, so our expert Local Sherpa Guide leading through the beautiful villages where just a few trekkers have explored yet.
