BPS Note the October Inflation Of 0.02% was Contributed by the Increase in Cigarette Prices

BPS - Central Statistics agency (BPS) recorded inflation in October of 0.02% on a monthly basis.

Inflation is mainly attributed to the rise in prices on food such as rice and side dishes and the price of cigarettes.

The head of BPS Suhariyanto explain the inflation of the calendar year in October (year to date) of 2.2% and inflation on an annual basis (year on year) 3,13%.

"Inflation is under control and lived two more months and the inflation target will be achieved," said Suhariyanto in Jakarta, Friday (1/11).

Suhariyanto explains inflation mainly contributed by the group's spending on materials like food, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.45% with a share of 0.08%.
