MCIOB is an internationally recognised qualification provided by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Becoming a member of the CIOB is a reputed standard a candidate can obtain in the industry. The recognition is not the only benefit a candidate will receive when he or she possesses the MCIOB designation. The CIOB offers more than just recognition in the industry; it provides a professional platform to demonstrate the talents and skills of a candidate. The professional body maintains its qualifications with professional standards with value, ethics and culture. Any member or non-member working with the Chartered Institute of Building will receive privileges and opportunities to advance in the construction management sector.
MCIOB designation
The MCIOB designation is not just a title; it is a sense of belonging and achievement for the members of the CIOB. Many members in the industry have experienced their gratitude and satisfaction in becoming an MCIOB. The qualification speaks louder in the construction industry while hiring or working in a big project. The CIOB professional qualifications build trust and confidence between an organisation and client.
Road to MCIOB
The Chartered Membership qualification is an achievement which a candidate can use to build a successful future. But every success has a steep path. The CIOB chartered membership qualification is not easy to achieve. There are many routes, requirements and standards to fulfil. The CIOB measures the professionality of its qualifications by upholding the standards. If a candidate desires to become a member of the CIOB, he or she should fulfil the requirements to complete the Professional Review. The CIOB provides routes to progress to the Professional Review. The Chartered Membership Programme is one route through which a candidate can obtain the MCIOB designation after completing the Professional Review. The CIOB Chartered Membership Programme (CMP) is for candidates who do not possess an honours degree but have at least five years’ experience in the field. CMP courses are available through online classes; the CIOB approves the services to online colleges and institutes. The College of Contract Management is one of the approved course providers of the CIOB. The Professional Development Programme (PDP) is another route to achieve the MCIOB qualification. Candidates who have a degree, but no experience can choose to follow this route and proceed to the Professional Review. The Professional Review Route is the final stage of becoming an MCIOB. Many experienced professionals or members who are already possessing membership titles can directly apply to the Professional Review.
