The crown and the bridges both are used as pro aesthetic devices. They are not like dentures which are removable and can clean daily. Crown and bridge are kind of permanent solution for decayed teeth that lasts for a long as they are cemented on the existing teeth or artificial implants, and they can only be removed by a dentist.
A crown basically is used to cover or cap a damaged tooth. Keeping aside consolidating, the tooth crown helps tooth to look finer giving it a correct shape and alignment. Porcelain or ceramic crown can be fixed into a color matching to your natural teeth. Metal or alloy crown can also be used and preferred as they are much stronger that the ceramic ones. Porcelain bonded to a metal shell is often used because it is both strong and smart.
A Bridge is only recommended when you are missing one or more tooth. Gaps formed due to missing teeth eventually causes shifting and displacing of other teeth which always results in bad bites. So a bridge can fill the vacant places making your jaw look firmer and function well.
