Black Widow: Release Date, Storyline, and More

An upcoming superhero film, ‘Black Widow’ is produced by Marvel Studios. It is a film distributed by Disney Studios Motion pictures and will be the first film of phase 4 of MCU. The movie is directed by Cate Shortland and written by Eric Pearson. Marvel’s Black Widow, also known as Natasha Romanova, first appeared in The Avengers of 2012.

Marvel fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to release as it is expected to be action and thrill-packed. The cast of the film includes Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, William Hurt, and Rachel Weisz.

The filming of the ‘Black Widow’ began in May 2019 and moved forward to different locations, including Budapest, Morocco, England, etc. Unfortunately, as the pandemic hit the entertainment industry, the ‘Black Widow’ was initially going to be released in May 2020. Now, the releasing dates have been pushed to November.

The film rights for Black Widow were acquired long back by Lionsgate, but later, he dropped the same, after which it was put in the hands of Marvel Studios. Marvel began to find a star to the Black Widow’s character and finally signed Scarlett Johansson. Thus, she initially appeared in 2012’s The Avengers. The new film is likely to present Natasha confronting a conspiracy linked to her past.

Florence Pugh was considered for a role in the film and has been offered the same several times. However, she denied it because of which the makers began looking for other actresses. The studio still considered her looking after her outstanding performance in ‘Fighting with the Family’ released in 2019. Later, Pugh decided to join the film and made negotiations on the same. She has been cast as a spy who is opposite to Natasha.

There is indeed a trailer available on social media that shows how Natasha transformed into a hero. Additionally, a teaser was dropped that gave the audience a sight of Natasha’s character. Not only this, but a poster is released that presents all the lead characters of the film.

A final trailer was released at the beginning of 2020 that credited Pearson as the screenwriter. If you’ve looked closer, no credits were mentioned for the cinematographer due to the contractual conflicts. It is because Rob Hardy was hired for the cinematography, but Gabriel Beristain replaced him soon after he left.

The audience is very excited to discover what Marvel studios bring them next. Sadly, the release dates have been pushed for the rest of the Phase Four films as well, but they are expected to bring something huge.
