From that moment on, this obligation was included in the general traffic regulations, since numerous studies showed that its correct use considerably reduced the number of deaths and injuries to the fetus and the mother after an accident. So, after this it is not surprising that the belt is mandatory for anyone who travels in the car regardless of position, size and age.
All must be well secured by means of a belt or the seat belts or the cuckoo. So, how should a pregnant woman wear the belt? You always have to have clear premises so that the belt becomes our ally in the event of an accident.
This is so because in the event of an accident the belt will tighten strongly to support the body until it dissipates the kinetic energy of the vehicle in the event of an accident.Nor should we forget the diagonal band that makes up the seat belt, its correct position is to fit over the shoulder bone and sternum without rubbing the neck or breasts. For the position of the belt to be correct, there should be no slack with contact with the body, although pressure should not be felt and we must maintain a correct posture on the seat, not putting our feet on the dashboard.Do not disconnect the passenger airbag. If you are the one who is driving pregnant, it is advisable not to make very long journeys.
