Study MBBS in Russia

Russia is one of the famous destinations for international students who want to pursue medicine Abroad.  Russia is considered a safe place for many Indian students to study MBBS Abroad. Many International students include Indians have come to Russia for their Medical course.

In Russia, there are about 87 medical universities. Out of which there are more than 15 medical universities in Russia offering MBBS courses in English medium. In a Russian university, there is a low ratio of teacher-student. Students are divided into small groups so that the professor can pay attention to each student in the class and each student gets a high-quality education there.

The mbbs in Russia duration is 6 years. For the first 3 years of the medical courses, students are focused on their theoretical subjects. Students are involved in basic clinical training since their first year so that students can understand the basic nursing care and clinical examinations. After 3 years’ students are more focused on practical knowledge.

Medical education in Russia leads the way for students to access modern laboratories and other science centers. In universities, the professors are highly qualified and most of the professors hold Ph.D. Degrees.

Any student who pursuing MBBS from Russia can apply for jobs in any country. Some of the top medical universities in Russia are approved by the MCI/ WHO. These global recognitions enable the students to work anywhere all around the world after clearing the Medical Licensing Examination.

Practice Medicine in India

After completing MBBS from Russia Indian students have many scopes of practicing medicine in India, but after completing the MBBS course, candidates need to appear for the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), which is conducted by the National Board of examination in India.  To become a qualified doctor in India, foreign medical students must clear the MCI screening test. FMGE exam is conducted twice a year that is June and December.

After clearing the MCI Screening Test, foreign medical students need to attend a one-year mandatory internship. In this Internship, medical students are given hands-on training to perfect themselves before they becoming doctors.

FMGE

In India, the National Board of Examination(NBE) is conducted by the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE). Any Indian student or overseas student of India who obtains their medical degree from countries outside India but wants to get the provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India must qualify for the MCI Screening Test or FMGE.

Eligibility Criteria for FMGE

  • Foreign medical graduates must be Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India.
  • Students must possess MBBS from the recognized university approved by MCI
  • Students must submit the requisite documentary/proof as evidence to prove that they have qualified for the final examination of MBBS on or before the specified date.

Documentary Requirements

Documents required on the day of examination:

  • Admit Card issued by National Board of Examinations in India (NBE).
  • Candidate’s photograph, which indicates the candidate name and the date of capturing at the bottom of the photograph on the admit card.
  • Required any of the authorized photo Identity proof - PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhar Card
