What are Benefits of the Rubber Running Track

Running tracks have evolved over time from tracks made of the cinder, grass and sand to the modern ones made of polyurethane and latex materials. The rubber that is used in these running tracks is black or coloured or can be granulated or stranded and may be made of natural rubber and tyrene butadiene rubber or ethylene propylene diene rubber or even virgin or recycled. But, the colored rubber is made of virgin EPDM and is also available in granular form only.

Benefits of the rubber running track:

Very low maintenance: The time has gone when grass, sand and cinder were used as running tracks and which proves to be a low-cost affair in the starting. But, the maintenance of these surfaces involved a great deal of investment, as a result over expenditure. But, today's running tracks of latex and polyurethane rubber have a very high initial cost but they don't need frequent maintenance as well as are durable for at least 8 to 10 years.

Apart from this, resurfacing the running track EPDM in Delhi NCR may further extend its life up to 15 years which is amazing.Increased Speed: the mondo tracks (Mondotrack is a synthetic track surface usually used for Track and field athletics) separate the traction and shock absorbing properties into two layers. The slip resistance (the above layer) does not need the spikes of the runner's shoes to penetrate the surface for a better grip. It cuts the athlete's penetration as well as retraction time so boosting your performance. Reaction time is important while running for a sprinter. Keep in mind that the lesser the reaction time, faster the return of energy to your foot. The latex and polyurethane surfaces expand and contracts fast to act as a springboard and provide energy back to you for your next stride. It finally boosts your speed while bettering your performance.

Very less risk of injury: When you compare a polyurethane running track with concrete or asphalt pavements, then the polyurethane proves better option for our feet. Paved roads or asphalt running tracks are more likely to cause stress fractures to the athletes as the hard surface puts great amount of pressure on your leg muscles, tendons and bones which doesn't happen with the softer surface of the rubber tracks.

Keep in mind that a rubber running track is expensive. Considering the initial cost, you may feel tempted to stick with grass or cinder track which are comparatively less expensive than a rubber track. But, though these conventional track surfaces have low initial cost but they need considerable maintenance throughout their life. So, considering the long-term validity of a rubber track, the money spend in it should not affect your budget as the rubber track will prove to be more cost effective in the long term.
