Malachite is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral. Its chemical formula is Cu2CO3(OH)2. It is opaque, a green-banded mineral that crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system. It is the most often forms of botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses, in fractures and deep. However, it can be seen in underground spaces, where the water table and hydrothermal fluids furnish the means for chemical precipitation. Malachite stone crystals are extraordinary but occur as slender to acicular prisms. It is a semi-precious stone.
