Do not use Lortab if you are allergic to acetaminophen (Tylenol) or hydrocodone or have recently used alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, or other narcotic medications.
Do not use Lortab if you took an MAO inhibitor in the last 14 days.
There might be a dangerous drug interaction.
MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, rasagiline, selegiline, phenelzine, and tranylcypromine.
To make sure Lortab is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have: kidney diseasecirrhosis, liver diseasea history of alcohol or drug addiction low blood pressure inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhea, bowel obstruction, severe constipationa history of stroke, head injury, or brain tumorCOPD, sleep apnea, asthma, or other breathing disordersif you use a sedative like Valium, which includes diazepam, alprazolam, lorazepam, Ativan, Klonopin, Restoril, Tranxene, Versed, Xanax, and others Lortab is more likely to cause breathing difficulties in older adults and people who are severely ill, malnourished, or otherwise debilitated.
Your baby may become dependent on the drug if you take narcotic medicine while you are pregnant.
