Prior to any welding in Hastelloy C22 Chain, all foreign matter (grease, cutting fluids, crayon markings, scale) should be removed.
Hastelloy C22 C-Channel can still be machined using conventional production methods used for other alloys at a satisfactory rate. In any process system, Hastelloy C22 H-Beam is much more cost – effective to proactively design for corrosion control than to reactively make repairs because of design deficiencies. Until now, sanitary process system designers in Hastelloy C22 T-Beam have been limited to 300 series stainless steels.

These options have grown to include the super – austenitic stainless steel, as well as nickel alloys such as Hastelloy C22 I-Beam for sanitary tubing and fittings. During machining, our Alloy C22 Angle can harden rapidly, generate high heat, weld to the cutting tool surface, and resist metal removal, because of its high shear strength. Although Alloy C22 Chain solves several corrosion issues plaguing processors’ systems, it is not the answer to all corrosion problems. Our Alloy C22 C-Channel is used in industries such as chemical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical processing; both oxidizing and reducing acids, or chlorides and high process temperatures may be present.
